Roan Vin Wetter (he/they) is a fool. A foreigner in the Queendom that conquered his homeland a century past. A lush. A seething revolutionary. And a very recently suspended university student.
Hoping to drown their academic woes, Roan agrees to try a back-alley tavern on the far side of town. The night is filled with too much wine, too much coin, and an extra dose of something new to wash it all down. The Green – the proprietary tincture of the Goodfellows’ Manor.
In this magical guild of thieves, addicts, and alchemists, Roan suddenly finds himself at the center of an underground power struggle. Fellows plotting against fellows for control of the Manor and its illicit resources. All while the Manor’s mysterious patron, the Fellowfeeling, snickers and schemes in the corners of Roan’s mind.
Roan must count their allies carefully to keep themself on the right side of the Manor’s factions, untangle the vague and deeper plans of the Fellowfeeling, and gather the Manor’s resources in support of quelling the true enemy: The Green-hunting religious leaders of the Synod.
Through gambles, tinctures, and tricks, Roan’s decisions will alter not only himself but the city of Ilstek forever.
